Before you sign anything

Three things are worth doing in this order, and none of them require talking to me:

Work out your true cost per page. The monthly payment is not the cost. Overage and a separately billed service charge usually account for a meaningful share of the bill, and nobody quotes the blended figure.
Find your notice deadline. Most agreements renew automatically unless written notice lands in a window that shuts months before the term ends. This is the single most expensive thing to get wrong.
Understand what a buyout figure contains. It is three or four separate things, and they are not equally negotiable.
