About Lea Malagon

I broker copiers and printers for New Jersey businesses. One person, no quota, no showroom — which is the point.

Before you call a stranger about your copier, check that I’m a real person: Lea Malagon on LinkedIn.

What I am

An independent broker. When you buy through me, the equipment is sourced through a dealer who holds the manufacturer authorisation, and they handle delivery, install and ongoing service. What you get from me is the part that happens before all of that: working out what you actually need, negotiating the term and the per-page rate, and reading the agreement on your side of the table.

What I am not

Market access: I currently source through a single dealer partner.

What “independent” means here

I work for the company buying the copier.

I don’t work for a manufacturer and I don’t work for a dealer. I size the machine to your real volume, negotiate the term and the cost per page, and tell you when the deal in front of you is a bad one — including when the right answer is to keep what you have.

What it doesn’t mean: I’m not a marketplace that quotes every brand on the market. Here is exactly what I can and can’t get you today, through my dealer partner.

Can source today

  • Brother
  • Canon
  • KIP
  • Kyocera

Can’t source today

  • Konica Minolta
  • Lexmark
  • Ricoh
  • Sharp
  • Toshiba
  • Xerox

If your requirement points to a line I can’t source, I’ll say so on the first call and point you somewhere useful.

Where I work

New Jersey is the home market: Bergen County, Burlington County, Camden County, Essex County, Gloucester County, Hudson County, Mercer County, Middlesex County, Monmouth County, Morris County, Passaic County, Somerset County and Union County — the towns and corridors I cover. My partner also covers New York City and Philadelphia, so if your offices straddle the river I can keep them on one agreement. If you’re outside that, ask anyway; I’ll still read your agreement and tell you what you’re paying per page.

Why there are no numbers on this site

No rates, no “save up to 40%”, no testimonials. Equipment pricing swings enormously by volume, term and configuration, and a range wide enough to be honest is too wide to be useful. When I can substantiate a number, it will appear here with the evidence attached.
